World Environment Center Forms Partnership with China Enterprise Confederation

The World Environment Center (WEC), a global non-profit organization that advances sustainable development in the business practices of major companies, has signed a partnership agreement with the China Enterprise Confederation (CEC), one of China’s major business groups with a membership of approximately half a million companies. The agreement formalizes and expands cooperation to improve environmental conditions, energy efficiency and business opportunities in China.

Through the partnership, the World Environment Center and China Enterprise Confederation commit to joint collaboration on the design and implementation of projects that promote energy conservation and environmental management among CEC enterprises; develop and conduct technical training programs; and organize exchanges among environmental and business professionals in such areas as technologies to improve energy efficiency.

The new agreement was signed by Dr. Yosie on behalf of the World Environment Center and Madame Yin Yuanping, Deputy Director General of the China Enterprise Confederation. A copy of the Memorandum of Understanding is available at www.wec.org.
