Wendy Davis Caught Lying in Bio

Texas State Senator Wendy Davis, who is running for office of Governor of Texas, has been caught red-handed lying about facts in her bio–and she admits it.

Wendy Davis may have also even lied under oath, “testifying in a federal lawsuit over redistricting that “I got divorced by the time I was 19 years old,” when in fact she was divorced at age 21.”

As you might recall, Wendy Davis gain national attention when her 11-hour filibuster in June 2013 opposed abortion restrictions in the Stage of Texas. She wore a back brace, incontinence underwear, and colorful running shoes. She ultimately failed with her filibuster, and Texas ended up passing the abortion bill anyway.

Now, in a report in the Dallas Morning News, Ms. Davis was not a divorced working mother living in a mobile home at age 19. Instead, she was 21, and lived in a trailer for a short time. Then after a living with her mother, Davis moved into her own apartment. She claims that she was a single mother at 19.

The ChicksonTheRight.com blog pulled out some great details:

Other missing details have included: her second husband paid her way through law school and she divorced him the day after the last payment was made; her ex-husband accused her in initial court filings of adultery, and was awarded custody of their two daughters; and she first ran for city council in Fort Worth as a Republican.
“My language should be tighter,” she said. “I’m learning about using broader, looser language. I need to be more focused on the detail.”

Ya think?
