Amnesty International Says Remarks by Pentagon Officials are Irresponsible

Charles Stimson, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Detainee Affairs, recently referred to the international outrage at the U.S.-controlled detention center at Guantanamo Bay as nothing more that a few small demonstrations staged by Amnesty International. As a result, Amnesty International executive director Larry Cox has issued a statement today, calling these remarks “irresponsible”.
