Lion’s Gate Bridge is 1,823 meters in length and spans the borders of West Vancouver and North Vancouver stopping at Marine Drive, which is the main business area for West Vancouver real estate. This area of commerce travels along the Burrard Inlet and finds its way to Horseshoe Bay, which is a water-front ferry community seen on the western side of West Vancouver. Horseshoe Bay ferries give transportation to Langdale, Bowen Island and Nanaimo. From this point you could take Highway 99 to traverse north for Whistler, B.C. due to the end of Highway 1, also called the Trans Canada Highway. The park is filled with more than 185-acres worth of foliage, and provides both flat and steep trails to check out, not to mention the lighthouse, which is the park’s landmark. Point Atkinson was one of the premiere light stations in Canada, and is the impetus for Lighthouse Park’s name. West Vancouver condos sports 3 secondary schools as well as 14 primary and elementary schools seen in its jurisdiction. Among those are two private schools, and a greatly renowned public school district.
